UCSB Regents scholarship 2022
The UCSB regents scholarship organized by the regents at the University of California established the famous Regents Scholarship Award in 1962 to recognize undergraduates entering the university with exceptional academic excellence and potential. At UCSB this award is administered by the Office of Admissions. At present, the award is set at $5,000 per year for four years for freshmen entering the college.

How to get Regents Scholarship UCSB?
In order to be considered for the UCSB Regents Scholarship,
Every candidate must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or a non-citizen who meets the requirements of California Assembly Bills 130, and 131, with exceptional academic credentials. Only students who fit into the above categories are eligible to receive The UCSB Regents Scholarship.
Does UCSB have Regents scholarship?
Yes All new students currently admitted to this fall’s quarter of UCSB are eligible to be eligible for The UCSB Regents Scholarship, based on their UC Application for Admission. However, there is no additional information required. UCSB usually offers the award to students who are in the top 2 percent of freshmen admitted. Students are informed in March whether they are selected. The decisions made by the Regents Scholarship Committee are final. Appeal appeals are not accepted.
How to maintain eligibility at UCSB regents Scholarship

If the cumulative GPA fall below 3.20 Students are typically granted two quarters to increase their GPA over 3.20 when it’s the first time. In the same way, should the GPA of the quarter fall below 3.20 students are usually given one quarter to raise their GPA for the quarter above 3.20 in the first or second time. In exceptional situations, the situation will be evaluated by a committee of faculty.
In the event of significant improvements, students can be granted, at the discretion of a committee for faculty review an additional period of time to cover any deficiencies. The students who are denied their scholarships can request to have them restored.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
To be eligible for filing for FAFSA Students must meet the following requirements:
- YOU must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
- Be in a degree-seeking program
CA Dream Act Application (CADAA)
The application was released due to the passing of two California Assembly bills, AB 130 and AB 131. Together, the bills were popularly known as the California Dream Act. It is the California Dream Act that makes certain students who are not legally documented eligible to receive State as well as the University Financial Aid.
