Applicants for Mauritius Africa Scholarships should be above 18 years of age and should not have reached their 26th birthday at the closing date of application;
For Master’s programmes, applicants should not have reached 35 years and,
for Ph.D. programmes, applicants should not have reached 45 years by the closing date of the application
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a public institution of higher learning in Mauritius for the academic year starting in 2022.
If the course duration is less than four (4) years, the scholarship will last for the minimum amount of time required to complete the course.

Applicants for Mauritius Africa Scholarships must have completed their secondary school education successfully and satisfy the following requirements: (i) 24 points at GCE A-Level, calculated based on grades obtained in three principal subjects: A+=10, A=9, B=8, C=7, D=6 & E=5; OR (ii) at least a 70% average or an overall average of 14/20; OR (iii) criteria equivalent to (i) or (ii).
Candidates who take the qualifying examination in a language other than English will be required to provide a valid TOEFL or IELTS test result with a minimum score of 550 or 5.5, respectively, or proof of English proficiency.
This scholarship scheme is not open to candidates who already hold an undergraduate degree.
This Scholarship scheme is not open to self-financing students already enrolled in Mauritius.
