Grants to engage young Women in STEM is a grant of young women in our society this will help young ladies to be tutored by experts already in the field of stem.
There is ongoing recruitment in the New York academy of science for girls aged 13-17 from around the globe to join 1,000 Girls 1000 Futures to receive guidance from female STEM experts and gain access to college preparation and leadership classes and connect with girls who are also passionate about STEM.
1000 Girls 1,000 Futures enables young women to study on their own and collaborate through Launchpad, the Academy’s exclusive digital learning system. Through Launchpad students can complete their course at their own pace and then apply their knowledge in completing various tasks with their peers. Mentors are on hand to help students throughout the course through how to apply for college to establish career goals.
1000 Girls, 1000 Futures is a revolutionary initiative designed to get young women in engineering, science, technology as well as math (STEM) and to enhance their chances of pursuing STEM careers by providing mentorship and skills development for the 21st century.

How does it work?
The New York Academy of Sciences invites young girls ages 13-17 all over the world to participate in 1,000 Girls, 1000 Futures. receive mentoring from female STEM experts and gain access to college preparation and leadership classes and connect with other girls who are passionate about STEM!

1000 Girls 1,000 Futures allows young women to develop their skills independently and collaborate through Launchpad the Academy’s exclusive educational platform online. Launchpad is where Launchpad students complete the course at their own pace and use their skills to solve problems
Different projects that they work on with their peers. Mentors can assist students through the entire program from how to apply for college, to setting career goals.
Eligibility Criteria for Grants to engage young Women in STEM
For Students
1000 girls 1000 Futures participants are avid learners who are passionate about engineering, science, technology, and mathematics (STEM).
Age between 13 and 17 years of age.
Wherever you are in the world.
Language: All information and content on the platform is English and a high amount of English proficiency is required. The students’ English competence will be tested during the process of applying.
Materials The 1000 Girls 1000 Futures program is a digital program. Participants need the ability to connect at least one device for communication including tablets, smartphones, or laptops connected to the internet.
Timing Commitment: The students must take at least two self-paced learning sessions throughout the year between September and May. Each module generally takes 3-4 hours each week to finish.
Cost: None. The 1000 Girls 1,000 Futures program is free for students who participate.
For Mentors
Mentors who are qualified to mentor the 1000 Girls Futures: 1000 Futures are:
Self-identified women who are working towards the pursuit of a Ph.D. in a STEM-related field OR currently working in a STEM-related profession.
Access to at least one device for communication with internet access.
Can communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Able to commit to 3-5 hours of training and participate in the program each month between September and June.
Love engaging and inspiring the younger generation of women from all over the world.
