The Material handling education foundation inc scholarship is a renowned educational financial aid package designed to help students and tutors and was formed by an independent charitable organization, known as the Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (www.mhefi.org/) was established in 1976 with the mission of providing financial assistance to encourage students to pursue careers in logistics and supply chain by providing a support system for the industry.
With over 1,000 students and educators enrolled in our programs since 1976, we have been able to pave the way for them to pursue quality educational programs and fulfilling careers.
In order to support undergraduates who are pursuing careers in logistics, material handling, or supply chain, the Foundation offers scholarship opportunities to undergraduates. It is imperative that the student demonstrates dedication to achieving excellence, good leadership skills, the ability to develop as a leader in the future, and persistence in developing quality education software even as he consistently pursue a higher level of education.
The amount of the scholarship ranges from $1,500 to $6,000 and must be used for the cost of tuition, fees, and books for full-time attendance at schools as well as the costs of living. There is one application that allows students to compete for a number of scholarships that the Foundation has to offer. Former recipients of scholarships may reapply each year if they continue to meet the requirements of the scholarship, and they will be eligible to receive a scholarship for one year.
Students from traditional undergraduate institutions as well as employees or family members of industry associations or member companies are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility criteria for the Material handling education foundation inc scholarship
Studies abroad programs/semesters cannot be used as part of the scholarship award
- Material handling, logistics, and supply chain undergraduate students who are enrolled full-time at a qualifying college or university in one of the target programs listed above who wish to pursue a career in these fields. For the Fall 2022 academic year, undergraduate students have the option of being classified as freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors in order to be eligible.
- If you are enrolled in any of the US’s non-profit colleges or universities that have been accredited by the Council for Higher Education, you qualify.
- An applicant must be enrolled full-time and have a grade point average of “B” in the major in which they are interested.
- As a condition of acceptance, applicants must commit to a full semester of study (Fall 2022 and Spring 2023) in order to apply, unless they have an illness, emergency, or military service that prevents them from fulfilling this requirement.
Instructions to apply for the Material handling education foundation inc scholarship :
In order to qualify for this program, an applicant must first be nominated by a professor, faculty member, or employer (supervisor, manager, or senior official of the company). Students can register and request a nomination by visiting the website https://MHEFI.smapply.org and entering the name and email address of the individual who nominated them by filling out the form.
Once the nomination form has been completed, an e-mail will be sent to the nominator, and once it has been submitted, an e-mail will be sent to the student, informing them to return to the website in order to begin the application process for the scholarship.
Prior to completing and submitting their scholarship application, students must first be nominated by someone who has nominated them for the scholarship.
There is an application that is used to allow students to compete for a number of scholarships, including a Howard Bernstein Memorial Fund scholarship, all in one application.
This nomination process does not require letters of recommendation to be submitted.
The application must also include an official transcript of the student’s current school and program as well as a copy of their current diploma. I would encourage your school to submit official transcripts via email directly to Donna Varner at MHEFI, 8720 Red Oak Blvd., Suite 201, Charlotte, NC 28217, along with a secure download link allowing for printing, or via regular post directly to Donna Varner at MHEFI, 8720 Red Oak Blvd., Suite 201, Charlotte, NC 28217. The transcript of their former high school should be requested by the incoming freshman student. The transcripts will not be accepted directly from the student as we are unable to verify the authenticity of the documents.

Application deadline for the Material handling education foundation inc scholarship
Applicants can submit their scholarship applications by January 31, 2023, and the deadline for submitting them is January 31, 2022.
By April 30, 2023, the scholarship awards will be announced for the academic term of 2022/2023.
