John Lepping Memorial Scholarship 2022-23

In order to further the education of students living in New York, N.J., or Pennsylvania, the Lep Foundation for Youth Education has created the John Lepping Memorial Scholarship (which provides financial aid for students in the surrounding areas who wish to further their education).

In order to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities, the Lep Foundation has established the John Lepping Memorial Scholarship program. In addition to physical disabilities like spinal cord injuries, peripheral amputations, and birth malformations, psychological disabilities such as autism and post-traumatic stress disorder are also included in the list of disabilities that qualify. A letter from a doctor stating that the applicant has a handicap must be presented to the institution as proof of that handicap.

Lep Foundation offers scholarships to high school students in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York who are studying in these three states. In order to help disabled young folks pay for their studies, the John Lepping Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year as part of a scholarship program.

A wide variety of physical and psychological disabilities can be considered for the grant, but past recipients have included students with spinal cord injuries, unusual skin conditions, cerebral palsy, crippling Lyme disease, Cress Syndrome, and Fraser’s Syndrome, among others. It is through this scholarship that the Lep Foundation aims to assist families who are having difficulty paying for both the college education of their child as well as associated medical and rehabilitation expenses at the same time. Each year, a scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded as part of this program.

The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship is worth up to $5,000 and is awarded in honor of John Lepping to carter for the studies of disabled students who are not able to afford schooling fees.

Eligibility and Requirements for the John Lepping Memorial Scholarship

• It is not limited to any one form of mental illness. It can also include various physical ailments (such as birth defects, amputations, and spinal cord injuries), as well as mental conditions like autism and post-traumatic stress disorder.
• Documentation of the disability of the scholarship recipient is required, along with a letter from their physician attesting to the disability, along with the application for the scholarship.
• This document requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.
• As soon as the award notice is sent, proof of award is required.
• Candidates are required to live in the states of New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania on a permanent basis.

You must send your application electronically by email to [email protected] or by mail to the Lep Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, PO Box 299, Millstone Twp, NJ 08510, by the deadline of May 1, 2023.

If there are any necessary attachments to the application, please include them with it. In order to submit an application by email, all needed materials must be submitted as digital files. Due to a large number of applicants, the award recipient will be the only ones notified.

All checks are made payable to the school and are never sent directly to the student; they are always made payable to the school. It may be possible to use scholarship awards to cover the costs of attending the course. In order for us to issue a check payable to the school and ship the check directly to the school, the school must complete the Verification of Enrollment form and send it to our offices by the school so that we can create a credit in the student’s name in the school’s name. The student will be informed as soon as the check has been mailed. Each student is responsible for keeping track of all the details pertaining to the scholarship award in which they are awarded.
