Financial Support for KAIST Scholarship 2023

There are three types of scholarships that KAIST University offers. A person applying to KAIST can choose and apply for any scholarship which is available during the admissions process.

KAIST International Student Scholarship (KAIST Scholarship)

  • For both master’s and doctoral studies, tuition is waived for four semesters (MS) or eight semesters (Ph.D.).
  • Expenses related to living are as follows: 350,000 KRW per month (for an MS degree) or 400,000 KRW per month for a PhD degree
  • An insurance policy that covers medical expenses
  • Research assistants may be eligible for an additional stipend as well

KAIST University Scholarships provide the recipient with the following benefits: A Full Scholarship (All expenses are covered by the program) Full Tuition Fee Covered It is a full scholarship that covers all tuition fees for the student. An allowance of 350,000 KRW per month will be provided to applicants for Master’s courses.

English Test Proficiency Exemption

It is EXEMPT to submit the EPT report for applicants who are nationals of English-speaking countries (e.g. India, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Kenya, etc.) or official English-speaking countries (e.g. United States, Ireland, North America, Australia, Canada) as they are not required to do so for applicants from such countries. If you have studied in a country that is officially English-speaking, it is necessary to have an English Lecture Certificate, which is also known as an English Proficiency Language Certificate.
