UKNEST STEM Scholarship is open to students registered to any STEM subject degree. Most employers within this sector require UK security clearance for specific projects and positions.

Each academic year, UKNEST engages with universities and colleges across the UK to offer a number of scholarships. The scholarships are for 1 year and open to students studying any STEM subject who are interested in pursuing a career in the UK Maritime Defense Sector.

UKNEST STEM Scholarship

United Kingdom Naval Engineering Science & Technology (UKNEST) is a not-for-profit member organization that works to support the naval enterprise in the UK. Uniquely, it provides an environment for all stakeholder organizations, private and public, to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by the sector, whilst encouraging early careers engagement and providing advocacy and advice to policy makers.

Their strategy comprises the functions of attract, diversify, retain and develop EST people. They support the attraction of talent through inspiring the next generation in EST, informing subject choices at school, bringing the Naval Enterprise alive and influencing career aspirations, as well as demonstrating the exiting opportunities for mid-career transfer and career returners.

They promote and support diversity to ensure talent is drawn from across society including, but not limited to, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, socio-economic background. We create resilience through delivering activities and interventions which help sustain an agile workforce for current and predicted skills demands.

Requirements for UKNEST STEM Scholarship

  • Applicants must be studying at UK universities & colleges.
  • Students should be registered for any STEM subject degree.
  • Most employers within this sector require UK security clearance for specific projects and positions.
  • Applicants are required to submit a Cover Letter, CV, and Reference (from their university or college tutor).
  • Answer the following essay question (maximum 500 words):
    • As new technologies come into service to tackle the challenges of Climate Change, older technologies retire. How might the Royal Navy use its older, retiring technology to contribute towards a net zero sustainable future without increasing its carbon footprint?

USAID Emerging Health Threats Division, Innovations is a funding aid made by USAID in partnership with  Project Last Mile (a VC4A initiative) and it is seeking to identify enterprises that demonstrate a proven or promising innovation to address emerging disease prevention and/or control, are poised for growth, and would benefit from Project Last Mile’s technical assistance.

To support USAID Global Health Security (GHS) objectives, this program will aim to identify and strengthen market entry and scale-up of health innovations that can strengthen prevention, detection, and/or response for infectious disease threats around the world.

Requirements for USAID Emerging Health Threats Division, Innovations Qualification

Solutions should focus on late-stage development of a small form factor biomedical technology and support the following GHS Program objectives:

  • Reduced spillover of emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) in humans or animals from
    which zoonotic pathogens spillover;
  • Improved detection and/or identification of potential or real pathogens associated with
    EIDs; and/or
  • Improved understanding of the epidemiology of EIDs among humans, animals, insects,
    and/or the environment.

Solutions may include any new / emerging technologies, products, processes, or approaches  that can support the key program objectives outlined below:

  • Prevent disease outbreaks
  • Detect threats early
  • Respond rapidly and effectively when outbreaks occur

Each enterprise will be matched with a PLM Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will gain one-on-one technical advice, coaching, and mentoring support to design a solution to a key business challenge being faced by the enterprise. Nursing Scholarship offered by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is a great opportunity that seeks to help individuals who are interested in pursuing a degree in nursing.

TTUHSC School of Nursing is committed to helping meet the health care needs of local and global communities by offering scholarships allowing students the financial means necessary to achieve their futures. Many generous donors provided these funds to ensure that scholarships are available for nursing students.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing is dedicated to training knowledgeable, compassionate nurses and nurse practitioners to meet the critical nursing shortage in West Texas and across the nation.

Nursing Scholarship 

Since the first class in 1981, the school has grown from offering traditional programs to masters and post master’s programs in diverse areas of nursing specialization and Doctor of Nursing Practice.

Eligibility for Nursing Scholarship

  • Student must be enrolled or newly admitted in TTUHSC School of Nursing
  • Applicant must meet the criteria set for chosen scholarship
  • Student must have a completed FAFSA and an expected enrollment questionnaire with the Office of Financial Aid
  • Scholarship monies must be applied to further student’s higher education
  • One scholarship application is needed for each financial aid award year
  • Applications will only be carried over each semester of the current financial aid award year

How to Apply for Nursing Scholarship

  • Students from all campuses, excluding Permian Basin, should use the scholarship application link under the “General Scholarship Application” tab to apply for the general scholarships available during April, July, and November. Remember, you can apply only once during a financial aid year, the year starting over when the April application opens. The same application will be used each semester thereafter until the next financial aid year.
  • Permian Basin students should access the scholarship application under the “Odessa General Scholarship Application”.
  • Campus specific scholarship application links will be used for scholarships available only to that particular campus. Not all campuses have campus specific scholarships.
  • The “Outside/External” tab is a good starting place for students who wish to explore scholarship opportunities offered by outside organizations.

Treasure Transfer Scholarship

Treasure Transfer Scholarship Boise State University 2023

Treasure Transfer Scholarship is an automatic scholarship offered by Boise University to First-year applicants and they are  those who hold fewer than 14 transferrable post-secondary credits earned after high school. The scholarship requires no additional application for consideration, but eligibility does require that all required admissions materials are received in the International Admissions Office by the posted deadline.

Eligibility for Treasure Transfer Scholarship

  • Only incoming transfer students are considered for the Treasure Transfer or Western Undergraduate Exchange Transfer scholarships. Consideration is based on their admissions materials received by the scholarship deadline. A complete application includes the admissions application AND transcript(s). All criteria must be met by the deadline.
  • Students must have an eligible major for the Treasure Transfer scholarship. If one of the following majors is declared you will not be eligible for the Treasure Transfer: Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiological Science, Pre-Radiological Science, Alternative Fee Programs, and fully online programs. These programs are subject to change.
  • Scholarship recipients are required to enroll full-time (12 credits) each semester of the award (fall & spring terms) and are still responsible for resident fees and the uncovered portion of the nonresident fees. Online courses that charge a per-credit fee instead of standard tuition do not count towards the required 12 credits per semester.
  • Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 credits each semester (fall & spring) and successfully complete at least 24 credits combined (fall & spring). One-semester recipient (fall or spring only) must successfully complete at least 12 credits.
  • While courses that are repeated within the same academic year may be eligible for federal financial aid, they do not count toward the 24 credits required for scholarship renewal.
  • Priority consideration is given to students seeking their first bachelor’s degree.
  • Please make yourself familiar with the Scholarship Policies for additional details.

How to Apply

  • By submitting a complete application and meeting the criteria listed, you will automatically be considered for one of the following scholarships without an additional application: Foothills, Ridgeline, or Summit.
  • A complete application includes the following required materials: admissions application and transcript(s). Boise State Admissions must receive all required materials by the deadline.

The scholarship is worth $8,000 per year for 2 years (4 semesters).

One World International Scholarships an initiative by the BC Scholarship Society are awarded to students participating in study, or work-abroad programs that are either experiential learning opportunities (language or cultural training), or that provide credits toward the BC academic credential they are working towards.

One World International Scholarships

Eligibility for One World International Scholarships

To be eligible to apply for this Scholarship, you…

  • are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant), convention refugee, or protected person living in Canada;
  • are a resident of British Columbia, defined as having a primary residence in the province for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of full-time enrollment in the program for which the scholarship is applied for;
  • have clearly demonstrated significant community and/or school involvement and academic achievement, supported by two references submitted with the application;
  • are enrolled full-time in an academic program of at least one year at a BC public post-secondary institution leading to a credential and have been accepted into an eligible international program outside of Canada or United States;
  • can demonstrate links between the international experience you are pursuing and your educational or career goals;
  • are not planning an international experience in a country from which you have immigrated within the past 5 years;
  • have not previously received a One World International Scholarship or a Premier’s International Scholarship;
  • plan to begin your international experience before May 1, 2024; and,
  • will return to British Columbia after completing your  international experience for further education or work.

NOTE: These Scholarships are adjudicated and awarded by your institution.

  • Review the Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship;
  • Obtain “unofficial” transcripts of all your post-secondary studies (in British Columbia and elsewhere);
  • Obtain two references using the forms included with the Application (link below). One reference must be completed by an academic reference (commenting on your academic abilities) and one by a non-academic reference (commenting on your volunteer or extra-curricular activities);
  • Submit the completed Application including your transcripts and reference forms to the International Awards Office of your institution.

The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.

This is a fund that provides limited financial support for postgraduate students (taught and research) within the Law School.

CB Davidson Fund

It provides financial support for graduates in law from outside the UK to study in Aberdeen – AND – for students and graduates of the University of Aberdeen who wish to travel outside of the UK for research purposes.

Eligibility for CB Davidson Fund

Applicants must satisfy one of the four criteria below in order to be eligible.

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO ROLLING DEADLINES FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP EVERY YEAR, MARCH 31 AND SEPTEMBER 30.

  1. You must have applied to study or currently study Law at either research (PhD/LLM by Research) or taught level (LLM) at the University of Aberdeen – Form 1.
  2. You must be a current student of the University of Aberdeen studying Law at either research (PhD/LLM by Research) or taught level (LLM) and propose to study abroad – Form 2
  3. You must be a member of staff from non-UK higher education institution proposing to lecture at the University of Aberdeen – Form 3.
  4. You must be a member of staff of the University of Aberdeen wishing to study foreign law or legal practice and who has exhausted the possibility of funding from (a) external bodies and (b) Departmental funds. – Form 4

Please note that online programs are excluded from the remit of the Trust.

  • There are 4 (four) forms available. Applicants must submit the form corresponding to their eligibility.
  • Applications will not be considered unless submitted with a Curriculum Vitae (CV), two references and an academic transcript. Students already registered at Aberdeen must include at least one reference from academic staff at the University of Aberdeen. Please make sure that you submit the relevant application form together with all necessary documents before the deadline.

F5 STEM Education Grants

F5, Inc. is an American technology company specializing in application security, multi-cloud management, online fraud prevention, application delivery networking (ADN), application availability & performance, network security, and access & authorization.

 Eligibility Requirements for F5 STEM Education Grants

  • The nonprofit organization must be in operation as a legally registered charitable organization defined by the country in which they operate or fiscally sponsored by a legally registered charitable organization for at least 3 years.
  • The nonprofit’s primary focus must be on increasing access, capacity building, career development, or other related work with the goal of increasing representation of women of color in STEM education, especially the technology sector.
  • Those served through the grant funding must be majority (>50%) women of color and/or girls of color.
  • Organizations must have an operational website. Please note social media does not meet this website requirement.
  • For nonprofits based outside of the United States, an Enhanced Expenditure Responsibility (EER) process will be conducted by F5’s international grantmaking partner, CAF America. Funding will be contingent on the successful completion and approval of the EER process. F5 will cover the cost of the EER fees.
  • Organizations that have written policies that actively discriminate on one’s sexual orientation or gender identity are not eligible to receive a grant.
  • All countries are eligible to apply.

  • All grant applications must be submitted electronically. The application cannot be saved and then completed at a later time. Therefore, we suggest that applicants review the questions below in advance of completing the application. Application total character count maximum is 200,000 characters. The Gates Scholarship for Low-Income Students 2023

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

The Gates Scholarship will fund 300 students per year, starting with 2018, totaling 3,000 students over the life of the program. With the launch of this program in 2017, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation continues its long-standing commitment to helping outstanding minority students who come from low-income backgrounds realize their maximum potential.

The Gates Scholarship

This prestigious scholarship program is based on evidence that by eliminating the financial barriers to college, a last-dollar scholarship can enable high-potential, low-income minority students to excel in their course work, graduate college, and continue to be leaders throughout their lives.

In addition to funding, The Gates Scholarship will provide further support to Scholars, by engaging with them and their institutions in a variety of ways, to ensure they have access to the resources and services they need, from their first to last day of classes, through graduation and the transition to their chosen careers.

Eligibility for The Gates Scholarship

  • To apply, students must be:

    • A high school senior
    • From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
    • Pell-eligible
    • A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
    • In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

    Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

The Annual Fund Scholarship by Queen Mary University of London is supported by alumni and friends of the University who want to provide opportunities to students who need them the most. The Annual Fund has two strands:

Student Support: Annual Fund Scholarships are awarded to high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds. These awards help students with vital course resources and encourages them to spend more time studying than working part time to finance their studies.

Student Futures & Experience: Alumni support enables students to participate in professional, academic, and personal development projects that enhance their university experience overall and make them stand out in the job market.

This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least 3 years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney or students who attended the Drapers’ Academy Sixth Form in the London Borough of Havering.

Annual Fund Scholarship

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is a public research university in London, England and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It dates back to the foundation of London Hospital Medical College in 1785. Queen Mary College, named after Mary of Teck, was admitted to the University of London in 1915 and in 1989 merged with Westfield College to form Queen Mary and Westfield College.

Eligibility for Annual Fund Scholarship

  • Applicant must have enrolled in September 2022 and be in the first year of your course in either the Faculty of Science and Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be a permanent resident in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney and have lived there for at least three years or have attended the Drapers’ Academy Sixth Form
  • Candidate must have been assessed by Student Finance Englan (SFE) as having a residual household income of GBP 42,875 a year or less.

Commonwealth Scholarships by Durham University for Masters and PhD study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.

Commonwealth Scholarships

It operates within the framework of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) and offers a vivid demonstration of the UK’s enduring commitment to the Commonwealth.

By attracting individuals with outstanding talent and identifiable potential from all backgrounds and supporting them to become leaders and innovators on returning to their home countries, the CSC’s work combines sustainable development with the UK national interest and provides opportunities for international partnerships and collaboration.

Eligibility for Commonwealth Scholarships

  • Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2023
  • By September 2023, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)*. The CSC would not normally fund a second UK Master’s degree. If you are applying for a second UK Master’s degree, you will need to provide justification as to why you wish to undertake this study
  • Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship
  • Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format
